CoffeeCalc is a free, browser-based calculator at howmanycoffees.net. Enter any amount, pick a drink type (espresso, cappuccino, latte, americano, mocha, or cold brew), and choose from 14 currencies. The tool estimates how many cups that money represents using approximate average prices and exchange rates.

CoffeeCalc is an independent side project built and maintained by a solo developer passionate about simple, useful web tools. It is not affiliated with any coffee chain, financial institution, or government body. We aim to keep the tool fast, free, and accessible in multiple languages.
About the developer
CoffeeCalc is created and maintained by Alex, a solo developer working on this site as an indie side project alongside a full-time job. The goal is a fast, privacy-respecting utility anyone can use without signing up—built because comparing prices in coffee cups made budgeting more intuitive in daily life. Alex handles design, code, translations, and content updates. CoffeeCalc is not a company with a large team; it is one person's attempt to build something genuinely useful on the open web.

How calculations work
We maintain reference average prices per drink type in USD and apply approximate exchange rates for other supported currencies. The result is rounded to a whole number of cups for readability. The calculator runs entirely in your browser; amounts you enter are not stored on our servers.
Accuracy and limitations
Coffee shop prices vary widely by neighborhood, brand, and country. Exchange rates fluctuate daily. CoffeeCalc provides a quick benchmark—not a quote from your local café. Use it for perspective and rough comparisons, and always check real prices when spending matters.
